AMKT

The Alongside Crypto Market Index token (AMKT) was a cryptoasset introduced by the AMKT DAO in January 2023 and is an on-chain index that is available for trading on both centralized and decentralized exchanges. It tracks the top 25 crypto assets based on free floating market capitalization and is fully collateralized by its underlying assets. It is also programmable with on-chain DeFi applications. The Alongside Crypto Market Index Token is available as an ERC-20 on the Ethereum blockchain and polygon.

S&P

In May 2021, S&P Dow Jones entered the crypto market with the launch of a selection of crypto indices and benchmarks. Unlike traditional indexes, the S&P Bitcoin Index (SPBTC) tracks the performance of Bitcoin, with its first value data and base date set as January 1, 2014, and a base value of 100. The S&P Ethereum Index (SPETH) tracks the performance of Ethereum and has its first value data and base date set as January 1, 2016, with a base value of 100. S&P Cryptocurrency MegaCap (SPCMC) is the third index launched by S&P and tracks the performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum weighted by market capitalization, with its first value data and base date set as January 1, 2017, and a base value of 100.

Nasdaq

The Nasdaq Crypto Index (NCI) was launched in February 2021 and measures the performance of a diverse range of digital assets. As of June 1, 2021, Bitcoin and Ethereum make up approximately 94% of the index, with the remaining weight spread among Litecoin, Chainlink, Bitcoin Cash, Uniswap, Stellar Lumens, and Filecoin.

Bloomberg/Galaxy

The Bloomberg Galaxy Crypto Index (BGCI) is a market capitalization-weighted index that tracks the performance of the largest digital assets traded in USD. It includes a variety of different types of cryptocurrencies, such as those used as stores of value, mediums of exchange, smart contract protocols, and privacy assets. Additionally, Bloomberg has two indices that measure the performance of a single digital asset, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). The BGCI was launched on May 3, 2018.

Invictus

CRYPTO20 is a token-based crypto index fund that allows accredited investors to invest in digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum in a diversified portfolio. It was launched on October 15, 2017.

Bitwise

Bitwise Investments is a US based digital assets fund manager. Their most popular product is the Bitwise 10, a product that seeks to give holders diversified exposure to the market.

NYSE

The New York Stock Exchange Bitcoin Index (NYXBT) was launched in May 2015 with 237.03 as its base level and aims to represent the value of one bitcoin in U.S. dollars as of 16:00 hours London time each weekday. At the time of its launch, the then NYSE Group President stated that Bitcoin values were quickly becoming a data point that their customers wanted to follow.

TCAP

The token is created by tokenizing raw market capitalization data using blockchain technology and cross-collateralization with assets such as ETH or DAI.
